My experience with working for Queensland Rail along with my research into urban transport systems has led me to investigate existing rail networks and their future evolution. I am curious about the rail corridor itself and in rethinking it's current role.
Transport Network or Urban Service Network? Retail services? Food service? Food Production?
The rail corridor occupies a significant amount of urban space which can easily go unnoticed due to the linear nature of its form and the fact it is often hidden from view underground and behind buildings.

I stumbled across this image which had me thinking about people reclaiming the rail corridor as public space. Can the rail corridor coexist as a transport network and urban park?
