WK04 Reading: Politics and the Situationist International
This reading had me thinking about the distinction between architecture and architectural thinking.
I am most interested in this subject as it is relevant to my current architectural education which often has me questioning the relevance and pragmatism of some of the curriculum presented to us. At this point of my education I can comfortably separate the practice of architecture from architectural philosophy with the intent of aligning the two with an architectural response.
I am particularly interested in T.J Clark's notion of architecture as a physical creation ensuing an artistic endeavour. The artistic implication suggests an open endedness to architecture as it starts as a discussion about life and ends as manifested way of life.
